Hi.

My name is Dani. Welcome to my site where I share my journey to have a baby. I hope to shed light on the infertility journey that so many couples are on. If you are struggling to conceive, please know you are not alone and there is hope. Leave a comment or send me an email if you have questions.

Recovery

After the vasectomy reversal, Dr. Marks and staff walked us out of the office and waited with my husband while I pulled the car around. They helped load him in the car and told us to call Dr. Marks with any questions or concerns. We drove back to the hotel so my husband could rest. He kept ice over the area to help with swelling, and took pain medicine. We basically lounged and watched movies in the hotel room for the rest of the day. Aside from me running to get us dinner, we didn't leave the hotel room that first day.

We relaxed in the hotel room and watched movies after surgery.

The next day Dr. Marks came to our hotel room to check on my husband and see how he was feeling and healing. How cool is that? He gave us the okay to head back home and follow the aftercare instructions. I packed everything in the car and pulled up to the curb to get my husband. He kept ice in his pants the whole way home. Of course it would melt, so he would have a little break until we hit the next gas station. The ride home went smooth, and my husband was able to rest for most of it.

The next few weeks were focused on his vitamins and medicines. The first three days were the most important. No activity, no lifting, to straining whatsoever. No intercourse for two weeks, and then no strenuous activity for 4-6 weeks. Following the initial two week wait, you can begin trying to conceive immediately.

We were sure we would be pregnant within a couple months.
