Aunt Flow arrived (AKA, I started my period). I went to the clinic for an ultrasound, reviewed my new medication protocol, took a blood test, paid for the frozen embryo transfer, and went home grinning ear-to-ear. One step closer to getting pregnant!
Approximately 17 days from now, I'll have the embryo(s) transferred. I can't wait!
Pump the breaks! I just got a call from the clinic and they said I can't start my medication today. Insert sad face and watery eyes. My blood test came back and my progesterone is still high. The doctor wants me to take birth control for a few weeks, let my progesterone go down, and then we can try again with my next period. Although it's not what we expected, we also understand you can't predict what your body will do. We wouldn't want to waste money or time if my body isn't ready, so we'll try the frozen embryo transfer (FET) again in a few weeks.
Getting pregnant is easy, right? RIGHT?
We'll get there when the time is right. Trust God's timing.
